Unexpected Growth Portfolio The series Unexpected Growth is an on-going project of almost three years of images captured in many different locales. Nature provides us with beautiful tree groves, annual exotics, and flowering shrubs. Although many times, we, as humans, overlook the majestic simplicity of unexpected lichens, growth, and weeds that are cut down to make room for more desirable foliage. I am passionate about not only preserving our physical history, but allowing nature to remain and thrive in its elemental state. This series of black and white photos of trees, weeds, flowers, ivy, and branches addresses those personal feelings, and is intended to generate a greater awareness of our surroundings. |
