

ARTIST STATEMENT
Fine art photographer and instructor David Ashman was born and
raised in Rochester, New York USA and currently resides in Portland,
Oregon USA. He captures fine art images of abstraction, life,
uninhabited landscapes, and unique portraits. Additionally, he
welcomes appropriate commissioned work for commercial or personal
use. Using vintage medium format film cameras and the latest in digital
image capture, his work is available for exhibition, sale, and/or licensing.
David has studied with master photographers Arno Minkkinen, John
Sexton, John Goodman, Chip Forelli, and Tom Wolff. His hand crafted
black and white prints are part of numerous private and public
collections including the District of Columbia Art Bank. He has exhibited
at various solo & juried exhibitions, and has received numerous awards.
