In addition to private instruction, David Ashman conducts black and white film photography
workshops and classes (for both adults and youths) at various DC, Maryland, and Virginia
locales. The various beginner, intermediate, and advanced level courses are intended to give
each participant the opportunity to create a series of photographs from subject-rich
environments, learn about the art of photography & print making, and prepare for exhibition.

Mat Cutting and Mounting Workshop
Dates: Saturday January 9 & 16, 2010 from 12:30-5:30pm

Learn to properly affix and display your prints using a mat cutter
and various archival mounting methods. This demonstration based
workshop covers proper measurement and cutting of mat board,
hinge mounting, drymounting, and a discussion on exhibition
preparation. Fee includes all materials. Bring 1 print (up to
11"x14") to mount and mat during the class.
