This photograph of the dilapidated ticket
counter at the old Bethesda Theatre in
Bethesda, Maryland, was taken in March of
2006. Built in 1938, the classic theater has
survived high rent district modern living
quarters built atop, as well as numerous
redevelopment bids. The image is homage to
the years this beautiful theater served the
public, and the hopes it will serve again.
